Play: Converting quiet LinkedIn engagement into real conversations

How founder-led sales teams turn quiet LinkedIn likes and comments into real outbound conversations.

The signal

ICP buyers liked, commented on, or reshared your last 30 days of LinkedIn posts. They self-identified as warm without filling a form.

Satellyte ties post-level engagement to ICP fit so you only see the ones inside accounts you actually want to work, not the supportive friends and category lurkers.

What it means

The hardest part of cold outbound (relevance and timing) is already done. They told you the topic and the moment. Most founders waste this signal by waiting for the lead form.

The play

1. Open with the post they engaged with

Reference the exact post, exact line, exact angle. Not generic outbound. The opener writes itself.

2. Ask a real question, not a pitch

Buyers warm to a real question. They cool to a calendar link. Earn the call by being curious first.

3. Move to async if calendar is friction

Founders do not always want a 30-minute call. Offer Loom, voice note, or async DM thread. Reply rates jump.

Sample first message

Saw your reaction to my post on [topic] last week. The line that landed for most folks was [specific line], curious which part hit for you. No agenda, just doing some pattern matching on who is feeling this same problem right now.

When to skip this play

If the engagement is one passive like with no profile activity behind it, the signal is too thin. Stack at least two interactions inside 14 days first.

Where to go next

Pair with Buyer Intent multi-thread: when two people from the same account engage inside two weeks, the deal is forming whether you join or not.
