Koala and Satellyte both call themselves signal tools. They use very different signals, and that changes everything about who should buy each one.
First-party vs third-party signals
Koala is a product-intent platform. It watches your own website, app, and product usage data, then tells you when a prospect or existing account is showing buying behavior inside your own surface. Pricing page views, docs visits, trial actions, feature usage spikes. All first-party.

When each tool is right
Koala is the right call if:
- You have a free trial, freemium, or self-serve SaaS with at least 500 weekly website visitors from target accounts.
- Your sales team struggles to prioritize inbound and product-qualified leads.
- You already have contact data and the missing piece is which of these existing accounts are hot right now.
Satellyte is the right call if:
- You run pure outbound with no meaningful inbound funnel yet.
- Your ICP is a specific buyer persona at a specific company stage, and the trigger to reach out is an event (they raised, they hired, they changed stacks), not website activity.
- You want to pre-empt the RFP, not respond to one.
Teams running both motions (PLG + outbound) often need both tools, because Koala cannot see the accounts that have never visited your site, and Satellyte cannot see who on your site is ready to buy.
Pricing
Koala publishes pricing. Free tier exists with limits. Paid tiers start around $750 per month and scale with identified accounts and users. For a scaling PLG motion the price grows with usage, which is fair.
Satellyte pricing is flat per workspace, independent of traffic or signals consumed.
For a team at any stage: these are not competing for the same line item. Koala replaces part of your revenue analytics stack. Satellyte replaces part of your account targeting stack. They are rarely cut against each other in a real budget review.

Caveats
- Koala needs traffic. A pre-launch company or a very niche B2B with 50 monthly visitors will not get value.
- Satellyte signal tuning takes two to three weeks to get right. Expect noise for the first pass.
- Attribution. When both tools are running, it is easy to double-count influence. Pick one source of truth for account status.
Koala sees the people knocking on your door. Satellyte sees the people about to need what you sell. Both matter, and neither replaces the other.
